Reiki tsm A new dimension of practice

Reiki tsm

tsm is an acronym of 'the secret method', words taken from the translation of the memorial stone of Mikao Usui, the founder of the practice commonly called 'Reiki'. Usui referred to the precepts and the teachings of his method as 'the secret method of inviting happiness, the cure for all illnesses'.

Reiki tsm is not a new form of practice. It is simply a label being given to original and non traditional interpretation to the hands-on treatment practice and to what is termed 'the symbol practice' of the Usui System. This overlay is entirely new and has never been previously expressed.

Hawayo Takata introduced and translated the Japanese practice founded by Mikao Usui (The Usui System of Reiki Healing) in a form that western audiences received and identified with as hands-on healing, and as a modality. This identification holds to the present day.

A spiritual component, a connection through the practice to a larger dimension of existence, was acknowledged but the focus on the physical healing aspects of the practice have served to almost obscure this dimension of the practice.

The 'Reiki tsm' interpretations are not limited to a specific form of practice. The 'secret' teachings are natural extensions of the system of practice, and the Reiki tsm process is simply a way to access them.

The hands-on healing identification has served to enable a rapid acceptance of the practice in different cultures all over the world. The spiritual aspects of the practice where acknowledged, are often blended with other practices and understandings.

Reiki tsm is a re-engagement with the hands-on treatment process as a practice of stillness and embodied presence and symbol use as an introduction to the nature of mind. This is not a negation of the effectiveness of both in the context of a healing art, but does serve to refocus on the original purpose of the system, that of spiritual awakening.

Takata's successor, Phyllis Furumoto spoke of an aspect of the practice she termed 'Mystic Order', as being largely an unknown, but one that would find expression in time. Reiki tsm is such an expression.

Mystic Order is that larger dimension of existence that underpins the totality of human experience, is the mystical environment of 'the now', out of which all that is arises and holds the knowing of who and what we truly are.

Some call this knowing 'awakening', some use the term 'enlightenment'. That this aspect of existence might be woven into the system of practice is not surprising given that it was such an experience that led to its formation. Reiki tsm interprets the practices of the system to directly engage that path.
The Usui method is a complete method, a full spectrum healing system. It addresses the nature of body, of mind, and also the great mystery of what it means to be human.

The question with regard to any system is what is its function and how does it achieve it. Mostly the questioning has stopped with the function as a healing practice, and how it does it as 'energy healing'.

Going beyond the limitations and distortions of these identifiers is not a logical process. Holding a mindset of not knowing an answer is an essential element. This mindset is key to the Reiki tsm experience.

The Usui System USES hands-on treatment as its practice, its means to a particular end. Treatment practice offers many amazing healing benefits. At the same time, the hands-on practice leads the practitioner into both stillness and a state of presence through the medium of safe simple touch.

The practice of stillness, and of being present to the state of presence in oneself are essential processes in a disciplined practice of coming into the knowing of the nature of 'who we truly are'. The ability to hold Presence in the 'now moment' is an opening to the awakening process.

The symbol practice similarly serves a dual purpose, and Reiki tsm is an approach to the realisation of this purpose.
